Already the ancestors of the Incas manufactured the finest carpets from the skins of the South American small camels alpacas. Also, today alpaca is considered as very high-quality fur. Alpaca fur is silky soft, but also very resistant and has unique thermal properties, which are connected with tiny air inclusions in the hair. Alpaca does not contain lanolin and is therefore suitable for allergy sufferers.
